From the very beginning of my business, there has been one thing I’ve never compromised on: community.
This week, I was reminded of something important.
Competition says: There’s not enough for everyone.
But community says: WE RISE TOGETHER. ✨
Earlier this week, I hosted a Central Florida Branding Photographer lunch meetup. It wasn’t fancy, just casual conversation, stories, questions, and plenty of laughs. But what happened around that table was magic!
Here’s what moments like this remind me: as photographers, we can get so caught up hustling behind the scenes, pouring into our businesses, and trying to do it all ourselves. But the real growth happens through connection.
Connection sparks confidence.
Connection builds referrals.
Connection makes this whole “business owner” thing a lot less lonely.
When we stop seeing each other as competition and start seeing each other as community, everything shifts. Clients notice. Opportunities show up. And suddenly, the growth you have been chasing does not feel so out of reach.
So my challenge for you is to reach out to one creative peer this week. Invite them for coffee or a quick Zoom chat. Swap stories. Share resources. Dream out loud together. You never know what kind of opportunity or friendship might come from it!
